The Department of Chemistry, Maharajah’s College, Vizianagaram, organized an industrial field visit to Steel Exchange India Limited (SEIL) on 19th August 2026 to provide Chemistry Honours students with practical exposure to steel manufacturing and the industrial applications of Chemistry.
The visit enabled students to gain valuable insights into steel production processes, chemical analysis, quality control, industrial safety, environmental management, and sustainable practices. Interaction with technical personnel further enriched the students’ understanding by connecting classroom concepts with real-world industrial applications.
The industrial visit was informative and academically beneficial, providing students with valuable practical knowledge and creating awareness of career opportunities in the steel industry.
